Our Detailed Vision
As proud Buffalo-based artists, Samantha Domagala and Akasya Croiser are thrilled for the opportunity to contribute to the artistic legacy of the new Buffalo Bills Stadium.
Through the collaboration of two female-founded businesses, we have a combined 25 years of experience in the art world. We have built our careers working with multiple mediums, featuring work on large-scale murals, public art installations, festivals, and over hundreds of private collections. We have become a staple of the community, with our work showcased in dozens of retail stores and proudly displayed on hundreds of walls by devoted fans. Our series of art will capture the spirit of Bills fandom through the lens of a generation. As the family tree grows within the Western New York hometown, traditions, celebrations, and cherished memorabilia will be passed down from one era to the next. The goal is to evoke relatability between the viewer and the shared experiences of family, friends, and fellow fans, both familiar and new.
A Breakdown of The Decades
Scene 1: The Locals Livingroom
Our first scene opens up in the 70's era- with a father and son watching the Bills game. The boy, Paul, will become the primary character we follow throughout each panel as he goes through life as a Bills fan.
As you glance around the room, you will notice family memorabilia, such as the family photo of Paul and his parents. Scrapbooks across the shelves such as "Paul's first", the parent's Paul is in his favorite Buffalo Bills Pajamas, riding an "fisher price" inspired Buffalo toy.
Scene 2: The Tailgate
We fast forward to Paul's young adulthood, where he meets his future wife, Nancy, seated, at an 80s tailgate. The visuals capture the era through classic RVs, fashion, and colors. Paul can be seen wearing his dad’s blue Bills long sleeve from the previous scene, and his mom's pom-poms on the cooler. You will notice these items in future scenes.
Scene 3: The Familys First Game
The family grows into the 1990s where Paul and Nancy now have a daughter, Kimberly, cheering on with her grandmother’s pom poms at the game. All three generations are celebrating together in our former Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Scene 4: The Dive Bar
Kimberly is a young adult now, attending the local dive bar with her parents Paul and Nancy. Her grandparents are with them in spirit, as their images are scattered across the Bar "Wall of Fame". This depicts familiar faces of Akasya and Samantha's family and friends.
Neon signs shine bright across the dark wooden panel walls, reflecting color along the bar souvenirs, faces, and bottles throughout the space. You can almost feel the sticky floor of the bar, smell the aroma of wings just by looking at this photo.
Scene 5: The Snowbirds
In our final scene, we see Paul and Nancy enjoying warmer weather and retirement while still repping their team, acknowledging the fact that Bills fandom reaches far beyond the physical 716. They admire at a postcard sent by their daughter, depicting the new Highmark Stadium that states "Greetings from Orchard Park". This serves as a reminder for the changes of Western New York and the celebration for whats to come.
