Mississippi Mudds has been a beloved part of my childhood and remains one of my favorite spring and summer spots as an adult. Whether I was enjoying ice cream on the rooftop with my parents and brother, people-watching from above, or grabbing a pup cup to take along the riverwalk with my dog, this place has been the backdrop for countless cherished memories.

Located at 313 Niagara Street—just a few doors down from its sister business, Old Man River—Mississippi Mudds is one of the most recognizable food landmarks in Western New York. Established in the late '80s and owned by the Berrafato family, it’s known for its iconic bright yellow awning, the lighthouse that sits atop the building, and a wide-ranging menu that keeps people coming back year after year.
