Whirlpool State Park is located in Niagara Falls, NY, a trail always worth visiting. I grew up in Niagara Falls, in the Lasalle area. Although I frequently visited the trails often, the sights of the natural, powerful rapids always captivated me. I've gone down with my friends, and mainly my mom. It's been a hiking spot that can easily be done in 1-2 hours, depending on how long you want to watch the wild water. Occasionally, you'll see the Jetboat Tours fly across the water, or see the Whirlpool Aero Car soar across the sky. Whether you're local to the Western New York Area, or stopping by for a visit, I highly recommend taking a hike down.
